The international die casting industry is looking to Mexico in October, when EUROGUSS MEXICO takes place for the third time from 15 to 17 October at the Expo Guadalajara exhibition centre. With around 100 exhibitors, primarily from Europe, North America, China and Mexico, strong local partners, and the co-located Global Foundry Show, the trade fair continues to expand its role as the main platform for non-ferrous die casting in North and Latin America.

EUROGUSS MEXICO focuses on solutions and innovations for aluminium, magnesium and zinc die casting – especially for the automotive supply industry. The high-calibre array of exhibitors and fully booked German Pavilion underscore the international, but above all European interest in the Mexican market.

Strategic partnership taps into new dimensions

For the first time, EUROGUSS MEXICO will take place alongside the Global Foundry Show, which is organised by the Mexican industry association Clúster de la Fundición. The two trade fairs complement one another perfectly. Whereas EUROGUSS MEXICO focuses on non-ferrous casting, the Global Foundry Show covers the spectrum of iron and steel casting.

“In partnership with the Clúster de la Fundición, we are creating a unique platform for skilled industry professionals, developers, purchasing managers and strategists from all over Latin America that is practice- and technology-driven and has an international appeal,” says Margot Schwelgin, Project Manager of EUROGUSS MEXICO at NürnbergMesse.

The synergies between the two events are reflected in the joint supporting programme that offers a blend of technical expertise, market trends, and networking formats. The programme highlights include technical presentations, expert panels, and a German Mexican Cooperation Forum.

EUROGUSS MEXICO combines its own identity with regional depth

“For years, we have watched Mexico constantly expand its role in the global foundry industry – as both a sales market and production location,” says Christopher Boss, Executive Director of EUROGUSS. The evolution of Mexico as the key hub for the global die casting industry is underpinned by its strong position as an exporting nation, automobile manufacturing location, and supplier of lightweight components.

  • New record: in 2024, car production was up around 5.6 percent on the previous year to about 3.99 million vehicles.
  • 88 percent of those vehicles are exported – 76 percent of them to the USA.
  • Aluminium die casting in the automotive industry is growing by up to 7.5 percent annually.
  • Aluminium accounts for around 80 percent of vehicle die casting.
  • The foundry and die casting sector grew more than 63 percent between 2018 and 2022, representing an increase of nearly 400,000 metric tons.

In addition, the high level of investment activity and infrastructure development in Mexico have made it a consistently attractive location for international die casting providers. “With EUROGUSS MEXICO, we are offering our community a precisely tailored platform for gaining a foothold in this strategically important market or expanding networks,” explains Boss.
At the same time, Mexico acts as a bridge between the North American, European and Asian markets. “We aim to bring together international market leaders, local decision-makers and technological trailblazers – not just to replicate EUROGUSS in Nuremberg but to provide a customized format with its own identity and regional depth,” Boss continues.

“Concentrated technology, high visibility and direct contacts”

Guadalajara attracts decision-makers – from die casting foundries and the foundry technology segment, machine, mould and die construction, and the automotive industry. The trade visitors who attend EUROGUSS MEXICO come mainly from Mexico, the USA, Colombia, Brazil and other Latin American countries.

As Schwelgin emphasises: “Mexico doesn’t need off-the-shelf trade fairs but formats that deliver genuine added value. And that’s precisely what EUROGUSS MEXICO does, offering concentrated technology, high visibility, and direct contacts with potential customers and partners.”

The third round of EUROGUSS MEXICO and the partnership with the Global Foundry Show are proof of NürnbergMesse’s firm commitment to regional relevance and global networking. The trade fair offers companies the opportunity to tap into new markets, discuss technological developments, and forge lasting business relationships.
