Magnesium die casting continues to develop in the direction of highly complex castings with a high level of completion. Processing steps such as thread cutting, which used to be done downstream, are no longer necessary. Threads are cast with much tighter tolerances and then assembled with self-tapping screws. Today, robots remove and handle the castings.

Our two magnesium die casters each focus on one core competence: hot chamber or cold chamber processes. They impress with reliable quality and optimum cycle times.

POWER-CAST Zitzmann is a specialist in magnesium cold chamber die casting. For example, we use clamping forces from 5,500 - 16,500 kN to cast components and structural parts for vehicle interiors.

Whether pop stars, key speakers, lumberjacks or car drivers, users in many different industries are served by POWER-CAST Magnetech.Our competence center for hot chamber processes is equipped with machines with clamping forces ranging from 1,250 to 5,600 kN and can cast parts weighing from 10 g to 1,200 g.

Small and very small series are cast as well as projects with very high quantities. Magnetech produces parts that require less complicated casting technology and also highly complex components into which steel inserts, for example, are cast. The company also offers convincing solutions for surface finishing. Flexibility is also the trump card for new projects. With experience and creativity, customers are supported as early as in the development phase with cast-optimised designs for their die-cast parts.
