The Polish Foundrymen’s Association (STOP) was established over 80 years ago and is a voluntary non-governmental organization. STOP associates over 1.000 engineers, technicians working in the foundry industry and industry-related institutions with and over 40 Supporting Members. It operates in Poland through its 17 branches. The association is a member of the World Foundry Organization (WFO) and the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations (NOT).
One of the most important jobs of Polish Foundrymen’s Association is organization of conferences, symposiums and technical trips, etc. The main goal of the Association is to promote the domestic foundry industry.
The association has its own press body entitled "PRZEGLĄD ODLEWNICTWA" (Foundry Review). Foundry Review is the only technical journal in Poland dedicated to the foundry industry. It is distributed among Polish and foreign foundries and companies which use castings, as well as to the majority of engineers and technicians working in foundries.
The association is a leader on the market of foundry training providers. STOP specializes in conducting technical training in the field of foundry engineering. During 12 years of presence on the training market, STOP has conducted many open and closed industry training courses, and trained over 1,100 specialists.
The Association, through its Team of Experts, offers expert opinions, specialist opinions, assessments, analyzes, projects, documentation and consulting in the fields related to the foundry industry.
