Until now, there was a limited number of tool steel for 3D printing, as crack-free welding is an important requirement. Most metal printers offer a build chamber of up to 200°C - too little for materials such as H11, H13 etc to avoid cracking.
The availability of 3D printers with build chambers of 500°C offer the possibility to print the proven materials.
