The Call for Papers also covers mould and toolmaking, die casting machines and innovative casting processes, as well as release agents and spraying technologies. Topics may include solutions that improve service life, make thermal processes easier to control, reduce scrap or increase process stability. New machine concepts, peripheral solutions and processes can also be presented.
Another area is component development and new fields of application. Die-cast components must meet demanding requirements in terms of geometry, strength, tightness, weight and further processing, and they often perform several functions. Contributions that trace the path from the initial requirement through design and simulation to production-ready implementation are of interest, as are presentations that demonstrate new potential applications.
Investment, financing and transformation are also part of the programme. Presentations may address decision-making processes, implementation strategies or the modernisation of equipment and production sites.
Skilled workers and knowledge as factors for the future
Technological change is always also a question of skills. Contributions are therefore sought on skilled workers, qualification and knowledge management, including onboarding, training programmes, digital assistance systems and the transfer of experience-based knowledge. A key question is how employees can understand new processes, interpret data and implement changes in their everyday work.
The Call for Papers is aimed at experts who would like to present an innovative solution, research findings or a successful practical example. Submissions are welcome from die casting foundries and supplier companies as well as universities, institutes and user industries.
The focus should be on a technically sound contribution with clear value for the audience. Presentations are particularly suitable if they clearly explain the initial situation, the chosen approach and the results. Experiences from ongoing projects can also be relevant if they provide new insights and contribute to the discussion.
