New concept - new cooperation. The successful Zinc Die Casting-Award and, the renowned European Die Casting Competition, will in future be organized in cooperation between the ZINK initiative and the Association of German Die Casters, VDD. The competition is a good opportunity to demonstrate
competence, innovative strength and quality awareness and thus to draw the attention of potential and existing customers to.
The three best cast parts from nine categories ranging from mobility to smart home will be honored.
The winners will be honored on January 13, 2026 at the EUROGUSS trade fair in Nuremberg.
Die Casting Day 2026 – organized by the Association of German Die Casting Foundries (VDD) and the Federal Association of the German Foundry Industry (BDG) – will take place as part of the international trade fair EUROGUSS 2026 in Nuremberg.
This lecture event is specifically aimed at users of cast components from industry, development, and product design.
The goal is to demonstrate the innovative potential of the die casting process – through concrete examples, new technologies, advancements in materials and processes, as well as forward-looking fields of application.
The Initiative ZINK based in Duesseldorf is the contact for authorities, users, the press and individuals in all questions relating to zinc. It unites manufacturers of zinc, zinc alloys and semi-finished products based on zinc, manufacturers and processors of zinc compounds and zinc recyclers, belongs to the network of the General Association of the Non-Ferrous Metals Industry WVMetalle e.V. and works closely with national and international associations and institutions together.
