The Bohai Trimet Group has filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings for its four German companies. Business operations continue in full

The affected Group companies produce transmission, chassis and body parts and count world-renowned premium car manufacturers from Germany and Italy among their customers. The companies employ a total of 678 people, including 580 in Harzgerode (Saxony-Anhalt) and 98 in Sömmerda (Thuringia).

Olaf Spiekermann and his team are already on site to gain a comprehensive overview. Business operations are continuing without restriction.

“Today I am also informing the employees about the current situation,” explained Spiekermann.

"The most important task now is to keep production stable and meet all delivery obligations. The first positive signals from key customers have already been received."

Wages secured and investor process started

In order to secure wages and salaries, insolvency substitute benefits are being pre-financed for the next three months. In an extremely challenging market environment in the automotive industry, the provisional insolvency administrator is striving to preserve the plants at the industrial sites in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

At the same time, Olaf Spiekermann's team is preparing a structured investor process with the aim of gaining long-term partners for the sites.
