Alternative drives and lightweight construction at the centre of CHINA DIECASTING 2024
In July 2024, CHINA DIECASTING, Asia's top die casting expo, will be held in Shanghai, focusing on new energy vehicles and mega castings. With China leading global electric vehicle production with a 37 per cent year-on-year increase, the industry is innovating to meet demands for lightweight components. The exhibition will span 36,900 square meters, featuring over 500 exhibitors and attracting 25,000 visitors.
In 2023, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles remained the world's top for the ninth consecutive year, with sales reaching 9.49 million units, a year-on-year increase of 37 per cent, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles reaching 34 per cent.
With the continuous increase in the production of new energy vehicles, the demand for lightweight materials and complex components is also growing rapidly, which has brought broad market space and development opportunities to the die-casting industry. Chinese die-casting enterprises are actively addressing this challenge by innovating technology, improving product quality and service levels, and expanding international cooperation to continuously enhance their competitiveness and seize key nodes in the new energy vehicle industry chain.

China's die casting industry is constantly innovating and developing. In the past three years, it has grown from 6000 tonnes die casting machines to super large die casting machines with a capacity of up to 16000 tonnes.
From the mainstream structural components such as shock absorption towers and rear longitudinal beams, to the gradual improvement of samples and qualification rates for the rear floor, chassis, and subframe, as well as the domestic research and application of heat-free alloy materials, and the continuous efforts in tackling large-scale molds and other aspects.

Over 90 per cent of the available space is booked
As an annual event in Chinese die casting industry, CHINA DIECASTING has been held for 27 years. CHINA DIECASTING 2024 will be held from July 10 to 12, 2024 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). As a witness for the growth path of Chinese die casting industry, CHINA DIECASTING has become the leading die casting exhibition in Asia.The exhibition space in 2024 will reach 36,900 square metres, attract more than 500 exhibitors and 25,000 trade visitors.
