Megacasting is a further development of the structural casting process in which complex, thin-walled parts are produced using the die-casting method. According to its statement, the manufacturer has 900 machines of the Carat series in operation. At its in-house "Megacasting unveiled" event in Sankt Valentin, Austria, the machine builder demonstrated the Carat 840 megacasting technology with a clamping force of 8,400 tonnes for the first time in Europe.

Bühler presents megacasting solution for the first time in Europe
At the "Megacasting unveiled" event, Bühler is presenting its Carat 840 megacasting solution for the first time in Europe. The die casting machine manufacturer invited customers and partners from the die casting and automotive industries to Austria from 13 to 16 June 2023 to present the machine. It makes it possible to produce structural cast components for body shells and helps to reduce production costs and CO2 emissions.
