The winners of the Die Casting Competitions have been decided
And the winner is...! On 14 January 2020, the winners of the Die Casting Competitions were announced at the award ceremony during EUROGUSS 2020.
The contests are held for the most important casting materials aluminium, zinc and magnesium and are conducted by the respective professional associations. They are designed to showcase the high quality, diverse areas of application and potential of die casting. The aim is to boost interest in light metals and demonstrate the capacity and innovative strength of the participating foundries.
Internationaler Aluminium Die Casting Competition
- 1st place: Oil-coolant module, Hengst SE
- 2nd place: Housing HV booster, Druckguss Westfalen GmbH & Co. KG
- 3rd place: Upper part of housing for dual-channel EBS, Alupress AG
- 3rd place: Battery housing, Nemak Slovakia s.r.o
- „Special Commendations“: Housing components for electric-vehicle control device, Alupress AG
- „Special Commendations“: String inverter, FBL Pressofusioni srl
The Component Competition is hosted by EFM (European Association for Magnesium) and IMA (International Magnesium Association).
