Review of multiple semi-solid casting methods that are applicable to powertrain applications, sharing some advantages and disadvantages of each, explaining why Spartan chose to be the first company in the USA to invest in Comptech’s rheocasting technology. We will also share some of our internal development work to date with current production parts using both A380 and A319, typical workhorse alloys of the powertrain industry.
