Details of the transaction
The transaction covers the entire automotive business of GF Casting Solutions, which generated sales of around 622 million Swiss francs in 2024. The divestment includes nine production sites in Europe, China and the United States and affects approximately 2,500 employees.
The foundry in Leipzig and the aerospace and industrial gas turbine activities in Novazzano and Stabio (Switzerland) and Arad (Romania) are not part of the transaction. The divestment process for these discontinued operations has been initiated, according to GF's company announcement.
