Silbitz Group Torgelow awarded as training company
Silbitz Group Torgelow GmbH has been recognised by the Neubrandenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for its special commitment to vocational orientation, vocational training and the development of skilled workers for young people. With the quality seal "Top Training Company 2023", the foundry company is one of the award-winning companies in eastern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
All training companies that have been providing very good quality training in IHK occupations in the region for at least five years were eligible to apply for the title. Plus points were awarded this time for the topics of digitalisation and sustainability. After a formal check of the application documents by the IHK, an independent jury reviewed the submissions and decided on the award of the title "TOP training company".
The Silbitz Group is a group of companies comprising foundries, a mechanical processor and a pattern and machining division, to which the previously independent Torgelow iron foundry has belonged since 2021. In the Silbitz Group Torgelow, young people are trained in the professions of foundry mechanic, construction mechanic and mechatronics technician. There are currently over 20 apprentices working in the company.
