EUROGUSS MEXICO
Platform for German companies in the Mexican market
From 28 February to 2 March 2023, EUROGUSS MEXICO took place at the Expo Guadalajara exhibition centre, bringing together representatives from the entire light metal casting value chain. Almost 1,100 registered trade visitors took the opportunity to gather information and network at the stands of the 94 exhibitors. Among them were nineteen German companies. The fair is organised by the Mexican organiser PR1MA and NürnbergMesse.

Our first edition of EUROGUSS MEXICO was a resounding success! Exhibitors had particular praise for the high quality of the visitors and the positive professional discussions about specific products. Everyone was pleased that NürnbergMesse had made a highly suitable platform available for this theme in Mexico.
After all, Mexico is booming. But there is currently a shortage of die-casting capacity, and that offers good opportunities for suppliers of die-casting foundries in particular. TESLA’s announcement of a giga-factory in Mexico will also further increase demand for castings for the automotive sector. And the subject of nearshoring with regard to supplying the US market is resulting in growing interest in Mexico.

Premiere of EUROGUSS MEXICO 2023
The pandemic had prevented a physical gathering in Mexico in recent years. This year, however, the fair registered almost 1,100 trade visitors who came to the stands of the 94 exhibitors to find out about trends and innovations. Ten of the 19 German companies on site presented themselves on a joint stand. Other companies from the European region, above all from Germany, Italy and Spain, were represented with their own stands or organised through joint participations.EUROGUSS MEXICO thus creates a platform in the Latin American country. The Mexican organiser PR1MA organises the event together with NürnbergMesse as part of EUROGUSS FAMILIY. Partners such as the VMDA and FUNDIGEX support the trade fair in Mexico.
We are very pleased with our participation in the trade fair. The strong visitor numbers and, in particular, the really high quality of the industry professionals, were positive surprises for us. Since EUROGUSS MEXICO is strongly focused on the industry and its needs, we were able to find many potential new customers there

Platform for the die-casting industry in the Mexican market
Mexico is considered to be the fourth largest car manufacturer in the world and an emerging market for light metal casting. Almost all major manufacturers have opened plants in the country and are investing in expansion. Thus, especially car manufacturers, suppliers and R&D centres were represented at the trade fair, but also decision-makers from foundries. Representatives from politics and business also took a look at the trade fair and the companies present.Mexico has huge potential for aluminium casting. What is needed is networking and discussion with experts from around the world – and that is exactly what EUROGUSS offers as a leading international trade fair.

Growth potential and challenges of the die-casting industry in Latin America
The global pandemic, changing consumer preferences and rising energy costs have also left their mark on the die-casting industry in Latin America. The necessary space was given to these topics in a panel discussion with international guests. Technical knowledge was shared by experts from the exhibiting companies and specialists from the Mexican foundry industry.Current trends in the Mexican die-casting industry, such as the increasing demand for mega-casting and solutions for e-mobility, as well as the increasing focus on sustainable manufacturing processes, were addressed, as were the challenges currently facing the industry. These include the shortage of skilled labour and the need for digitalisation.
