Mexican car production is a key driver of this development. With an increase of 9.2 per cent, 3.5 million cars were produced in Mexico in 2022. Mexico is now the world's number seven automotive producer. This development was also made possible by the continued strong interest of the international automotive industry in direct investment in Mexico.
