1971 Dr. Spencer at MIT found semi-solid metal processing, known as thixotropy.
In 1992 JSW adopted the thixotropy technology and manufactured in 1993 its 1st THIXOMOLDING machine as proto one.
1996 MG Precision Co., Ltd. , which is JSW molding subsidiary inside JSW Hiroshima factory in Japan, was established to spread magnesium to the world with THIXOMOLDING technology and sells magnesium molding parts by JSW magnesium THIXOMOLDING machines.
