Zinc Die Casting Competition

“And the winner is …!” When you hear these words the waiting is over. On 15 January 2018, the winners of the Zinc Die Casting Competition will be announced during the opening ceremony at EUROGUSS. This competition has been organised for the 7th time by the German zinc industry network Initiative Zink, with the support of the Association of German Die-Casting Foundries (VDD). The competition is designed to showcase the potential of zinc and its wide-ranging applications, the outstanding features of zinc die-cast products and the capabilities of the participating foundries. When examining the zinc die-cast submissions, the jury is looking in particular at the following criteria: construction, design, mould making, casting technique, machining, surface treatment and decorative properties.

The awards will be presented during the opening ceremony for EUROGUSS 2018 on 15 January 2018.

International Aluminium Die Casting Competition

Once again, the International Aluminium Die Casting Competition, hosted by the General Association of the Aluminium Industry (GDA), will provide an effective platform for showcasing the high quality and diverse solutions offered by aluminium die casting. The purpose of the competition is to boost interest in aluminium as a versatile material and highlight other areas where it can be used. Designs that are suitable for die casting and make efficient use of resources are the main criteria when assessing the cast products submitted. The competition is organised in partnership with the German Foundry Association (BDG) and the European Aluminium Association (EAA).

The awards will also be presented during the opening ceremony for EUROGUSS 2018 on 15 January 2018.
