Sophisticated material solutions are our guiding principle and the basis of our activities. A team of highly qualified and motivated staff members in a number of countries ensures that these solutions are implemented at our production facility at Wiehl/Bielstein and at our sales offices around the world to the complete satisfaction of our customers and partners.
In the field of tool steel, we offer material solutions for hot-work steels, cold-work tool steels, plastic moulds and high-speed steels.
Pressure Die Casting
The die casting process is used for series production of structural components for industry. The liquid material is pressed into a pre-machined die at high pressure and velocity.
For the die-casting industry, we manufacture special die inserts, sliders and accessories made of hot-work steel that are produced exclusively using the electro-slag-remelting (ESR) process. In addition, we offer our customers appropriately developed special-purpose steels like TQ1, HP1, CS1 and HTR, for example. Three-dimensional forging is just one more of our specialities.
Die inserts, part inserts, sliders, shot sleeves, etc. - all of our products are optimised for processing large structural components in the automobile industry. Common examples of structural components include suspension struts, door frames, rear doors, cross members, side members and suspension brackets.
Our professionals in the field of tool steel technology applications are available to meet your needs. The team of material scientists will support you in choosing the steels that will fit perfectly your applications as well as in determining the performance characteristics of these steels. Due to our global presence in our customers’ production facilities, we are familiar with different production methods and have a profound knowledge of tools and processes that benefit you in our individual consulting.
We derive recommendations for our customers from damaged or worn tools. To be able to service ever greater demands, we cooperate closely with our laboratory and universities in projects leading to the optimization of existing tools as well as the development of new ones.
The entire team at Kind & Co. considers themself to be the service provider for you, our customer. This applies in particular to our service staff.
You will find our service to be fast, thoughtful, reliable and sustainable. On the next few pages, you will find out the services that we offer in the fields of storage, job forging, job hardening, job machining, and job sawing as well as in our relining centre.
