Deburring of aluminum cast parts
The robotic deburring station of the series RSP/3S is designed for deburring cast parts. Precise and defined deburring is decisive e. g. for the machining of cylinder heads as die cast parts.
The deburred edges should be 0,1 to 0,4 mm wide to guarantee a maximum size of the sealing surfaces.
Special milling tools were developed to realize with aluminum these uniform and narrow trimmed edges reliably. The milling tools have a long lifetime and are designed in that way that the penetration into the workpiece is limited and secondary burr is avoided.
The robotic station RSP/3S is equipped with a robot guided multi-spindle head which machines the fixed workpiece respecting highest tolerances. Rotating power tools – here three pneumatically powered milling burrs and a pneumatically powered brush – are integrated into the spindle head. Alternatively, grinding pencils and grinding flap discs can be used. The programmed curves are machined in geometric order.
A 3D measuring sensor calibrates complete workpieces or individual contour elements checking the position of the workpiece during processing
Thanks to short processing paths and a tool changing time of 0,4 s even small series of workpieces with different geometries can be machined economically.
