The front-end-cap accommodates individual transmission components and at the same time builds an interface with the engine and the installation environment. The zinc die casting replaces a plastic version.

The reasoning of the jury: "The front-end-cap is cast thin-walled and yet has sufficient mechanical strength. The burr-free casting indicates the highest quality. The use of zinc in this function increases the longevity of the final product."
